I'm Becky Nichols - Candidate for WI Assembly District 53
Menasha has been my home for over 20 years. Growing up, my parents taught me the value of hard work and what it means to be part of a community. I carried these lessons with me as a public school teacher, a city council member, and as a mom.
Having served 12 years on Menasha City Council, I’ve sat at countless kitchen tables and listened to your stories – your victories, your struggles, and your hopes. Your stories guided me in making decisions that helped people and strengthened our community. I’m running for Assembly to do the same thing in Madison.
I believe in a government that works for people; that’s why I ran for City Council in 2013. My representative at the time was unwilling to listen and was focused on a political agenda rather than what was best for families and the community. I ran, and I won! During my 12 years of City Council experience, I learned that listening to each other and finding ways to work together get things done and improves the quality of life for everyone.
I’m running for State Assembly District 53 because I’m committed to ensuring everyone in Fox Valley enjoys the best quality of life this community has to offer.
